The Bloody Death of Selu

ok, this is one of the stranger things i’ve painted. it started out as one painting, but i didn’t like it so i painted over it with a random pattern of wavy lines (which you can still sort of see). i didn’t like that much either so i painted over it with the strong red and black pattern that you can see in the top half. then it sat around for a year. i still wasn’t very happy with it but i knew i wasn’t going to be able to paint over that design. then last weekend i picked it up and painted the cells in the bottom half on a whim.
